Karl Lagerfeld and Wallpaper* Mag Team Up to Create Book-Scented Perfume

I’m not sure how I feel about this, I’m extremely curious but also slightly put off as I normally tend toward more floral, feminine scents.  I love the scent of books, however I’m not sure I would actually want to smell like a book

(PFSK) Wallpaper* magazine, German publisher Steidl, perfume designer Geza Schoen and fashion giant Karl Lagerfeld have come together to create the scent of ‘freshly printed book.’ Which Karl declares is “the best smell in the world.”

Inspired by Largerfeld’s words, Gerhard Steidl first developed a particular interest in the smell and experience of paper. Wallpaper* magazine stepped in and brought perfumer Geza Schoen together with the German publisher to make that ‘freshly printed book’ scent a reality.  Housed within the pages of a book, Steidl and Largerfeld have worked together to create the Paper Passion packaging, which features texts from Lagerfeld and Schoen, alongside Wallpaper* mag’s editor-in-chief Tony Chambers and German novelist Günter Grass.
