Bonjour! My name is Susan Stipanovich and I currently live/work/shop/write in Washington D.C. When I’m not busy churning out efficiency reports, researching Al Shabaab, or [attempting to] dodge the outrageous antics of my wildly dysfunctional office, I am normally keeping busy with local fashion events, writing, and working on my lackluster photography skills.
In the bits of time between those two jobs, I can normally be found writing posts for Hepburn Loves Givenchy, and enhancing my closet through my ever-thinning pocketbook. I was raised in the thriving metropolis of Youngstown, Ohio; home of the lovely Butler Museum of American Art and the much less lovely ‘Youngstown tune-up’. I managed to escape the Midwest to the University of St Andrews in Scotland where I spent equal parts of my time on my studies, traveling, and learning how to be chic on a student budget through attending/crashing/creeping on fashion shows, reading, shopping, and simple observation. After becoming involved in the St Andrews Don’t Walk Charity Fashion Show (famous for Kate Middleton’s modeling appearance in 2002) I was completely enamored by the entire fashion industry and began plotting ways to remain a part of this odd parallel universe where anything could happen and expressing yourself through your wardrobe was an essential part of everyday life. This blog is inspired by the collaboration between Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy, who worked together for decades to keep Ms. Hepburn looking gorgeous both on and off the screen. Thank you so much for visiting my site, I certainly hope you enjoy it.
